Barewolf Brewing
About us
BareWolf Brewing is a family and friends operated fermentation factory funhouse! We ALWAYS brew beer with our hands in small batches. We NEVER filter, pasteurize, use chemical additives, animal products or refined sugars.
Our home is on the first floor of an antique mill building in the quaint micro city of Amesbury, MA. Our little slice o' paradise is divvied up into our main production space, (on display from your seat in the taproom), The Funkyard (where we keep all our barrel-aged goodies), and our rootin' tootin' taproom space and biergarten, home to dope draft brewskies, our private event space The OtherSide, live music sets, rotating local artwork and a laid-back atmosphere.
We are driven by bottomless passion; teasing out never-before-seen oddities and classics side by side. Ours is a pop art/mad science mashup. Creating brand spankin' new beers constantly is a process that promises the opportunity to live in the moment. What better way to tackle our pesky mortality than to share a beer with those we love?
Meet the team
Paul Bareford
Co-Founder
As co-founder of the brewery, Paul’s main jams are biz ops, 60’s rock and roll, money stuff, and Motown blues, but he is also the go-to for everything from event coordination to staging heavy equipment to chillin’ in the taproom taking in the vibe and greeting our regulars.
Stevie Bareford
Co-Founder & Brewer
Stevie is BareWolf's other founding member, beleaguered lover of possums, drinker of micheladas, and fanatical enthusiast of wild beers. His role at BareWolf includes, but is not limited to: misguided pep talks, rabble rousing, distracting banter and occasional brewing. You can often find Stevie drinking a beer and pointing at something in BareWolf's production space.
Wylie Bednar
Lead Brewer
Wylie is the brewery's resident friendly Midwesterner and beer pun master. She's worked at several other Boston-area breweries before coming to BareWolf to focus on creativity and tradecraft in brewing. While she's not at BareWolf, Wylie loves to watch B-movies, see live music, and figure out how to make good vegetarian ramen. In addition to brewing the beer, Wylie also organizes BareWolf's live music programming and spends too much time taking beer pictures for the brewery Instagram.
Rachel Mae Green
General Manager
After a whirlwind decade in New Orleans slinging craft beer and whiskey, Rachel moved back to Massachusetts and quickly fell into BareWolf's Taproom Manager position. When She's not running around the brewery or behind the bar recommending a delicious brew, she can be found cuddling with her cats, a sour beer in one hand and a book in the other.
